Summit Business Etiquette Workshop Series – by Adina Cobham Headley/Donna Nabors

As William of Wykeham said, “Manners Maketh Man”! Along with the loss of common sense in today’s society at large, good manners also seem to be missing in action! Not only does good manners a proper, positive attitude enhance one’s job skills; these characters also show a keen self-respect and respect for the job as relevant and important personally and for a healthy society at large. Pride in one’s job and appreciation for payment for such job, is exhibited in the practice of good etiquette on the job.

Hence the need for a series of classes on business etiquette. Not only will this knowledge benefit any client in a professional setting; knowing proper business etiquette will enhance his/her chances of becoming a well-rounded individual, in all walks of life.

This six-part series includes the Introductory Session, and each class is designed for 90 minutes of engaging peer interaction. The mini-series on Workplace Etiquette, is short enough to serve as a personal or corporate redirect. It is also a foundation for appropriate work place focus on respect and good manners.

This training is very helpful in understanding the people who work for you and your relationship with them as well as their relationships with each other, also supervisors who are in conflict with other managers.


We address the jerks and bullies at work who demean, criticize, and sap the energy of others, often directed toward their underlings. It could be the notorious bad boss or the jealous coworker, but everyone agrees that they make life miserable for their victims and create a hostile and emotionally stifling environment.

 

From the occasional bad day(s) to the constant offender we cover the behaviors that are too often tolerated until irreparable damage is done to individuals and the organization as a whole.
